Delighted to be exhibiting again this year at New Designers with my MFA work.  It is their thirtieth birthday.  I'll be with our NCAD metal and jewellery undergraduates and with our other MFA, silversmith Cecilia Moore.

It's a great chance and treat for us to see the work of other metal / jewellery classes as we are in a bit of a bubble over here in Ireland.

I will be talking tomorrow in NCAD with three other designers from disciplines across the fields of fashion, textiles and jewellery talk about colour in our work. The relationship between colour, material, process and production, and the aesthetic, symbolic and environmental impacts of colour, are some of the considerations explored in the presentations.

My MFA show opens tomorrow, the 12th of June, in NCAD. It features my new collection, entitled Lust at Sea.  It looks to life jackets as a method of overcoming a creative block.

It starts at 6 and you will find my work on the ground floor of the Design Building alongside the other metal and jewellery MFA's, Chikere Ohoka and Cecilia Moore.

I'm delighted to say that I won the student award for Exhibition/Trade Fair for the Design and Craft Council of Ireland's Future Maker awards.  I will be using the €1000 to show my work at Sieraad, Amsterdam, in November so it will be a huge help.  I'm so chuffed!
